Casa Marginetta  The symbol of Italy!

What our guests think ...

12. Jim, Sue Chris and Alex (August 2006)

We have had a super week here at Casa Marginetta despite the weather being a bit mixed with some fantastic thunderstorms!

We enjoyed Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Bagni di Lucca and the surrounding countryside and have found lots more places to visit on future holidays!

The food has been wonderful - especially our visits to 'La Fonte' and 'La Tana' - Tirimisu won't be the same from Sainsbury's!

Thanks!

"The Callies"

Scenery, views, mountains, rivers ... all breathtaking!

We've had a FABULOUS week at Casa Marginetta.

The local restaurants have provided us with a wonderful array of 'gastronomic delights'.

Lucca, Firenze and Pisa were all quite amazing!

The last time I climbed the 'leaning tower', I was only seven years old ... I'm 46 now and it seemed so much harder this time, but certainly worth it. I'm glad it's still standing!

The villa is wonderful ... we had a great holiday and we would certainly come back to visit Tuscany again!

Ciao for now!

Zep, Max, June and Barry.

14. Mike and Andrea (September 2007)

Two wonderful weeks!

Two weeks of eating Tuscan delights and ascending the steps back to Casa Marginetta have left us with the legs of Paula Radcliffe and the upper body of Geoff Capes!

We used a guide provided by Daniela (La Fonte) on the Garfagnana region.

The 'Grotta del Vento' three hour tour was a wonder ... and the drive there was better than anything at Alton Towers!

Barga is an interesting small town twinned with East Lothian. You can buy 'Scotts Porrage Oats', 'MacEwans Export' and all sorts of Scottish food completely out of character with the area!

Two wonderful spots are Mount Argegna and Orecchiella Park. Both have good picnic facilities.

It goes without saying that Pisa, Florence and Lucca are truly fabulous. We found that using the trains was the best way to visit all of them.

Back to England tomorrow ... over-eaten, over-wined, over-monumented, and over-sceneried.

Two wonderful weeks!

Mike and Andrea

15. Lisa, James and Rufus (September 2007)

This little break was planned all very last minute, but Steve and Trudi couldn't have been more helpful!

Flying from our local airport we found that we were in Tuscany quicker than we could have driven to London!

Even after a couple of hiccups (locking passports in safe and not reading gas bottle instructions) they were so accommodating and took it all in very good humour!

And what a magical spot this is!

We managed to fit in a day at the beach where Rufus had his first swim in the sea (he's only six months old) and the drive up to Abetone was breathtaking!

Needless to say, we never had a bad meal - Daniela at 'La Fonte' and her husband Leonardo were lovely - "Happy 25th Anniversary!".

We certainly don't want to leave, we can't wait to return.

Thank you so much!

Lisa, James and Rufus
