Beautiful San Gimignano!

The beautiful Piazza del Campo in Siena, home of the Palio race

What better way to see Lucca than by bike?

Plenty of bikes are available to rent from 'Biciclette Poli'

Beautiful Convalle!

There's always a warm welcome at 'La Fonte'

Cobbled steps are part of the way of life in Italian hillside villages like Convalle!

What our guests think ...

Thank you for the wonderful stay in your home. The villagers made us feel very welcome.

From swimming in a thermal pool in Bagni di Lucca to the classical concerts in Barga to the Medici chapels in Firenze, we have had a fabulous time.

We enjoyed going to Lucca as you can relax and walk on top of the ramparts.

It is worth a visit to Barga as it is such a beautiful old town.

The views are wonderful and the house is well organised.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

To wake each morning with the lovely view from the bedroom window is wonderful.

Pisa was breathtaking. San Gimignano, Siena, Florence and Viareggio were magnificent in their own way.

Lucca too, has its own charm.

We have so enjoyed our time in the house, so cool in the heat.

We are relaxed and refreshed, just what we wanted from a holiday.

Thank you.

Elva

A wonderful retreat from our hectic life in England.

The house is a real 'home from home' with every detail catered for.

The village is quiet and friendly.

'Da Valentino' at Fiano has excellent food at fantastic prices.

Hire a bike and cycle round Lucca, it's a lovely city.

Bagni di Lucca is lovely and the outside pool / lido is great for kids.

The roads take some getting used to and the toll motorways can be expensive. Watch out for Police doing spot checks - wear seatbelts!

Thank you for letting us stay here, we've had a great time.

Michelle

What a beautiful village, so peaceful / tranquil / quiet.

What incredibly friendly people - we've been given figs and grapes and invited to visit the tortoises at No. 6!

I think it was the blonde-haired blue-eyed children that they warmed to rather than us!

'La Fonte' were very welcoming and great with Erin, who made friends there.

With two small children and all the trappings, a warning about the quaint cobbled steps in Convalle might have been handy...

... Nevertheless, we took them in our stride. In fact I think I'll miss them!

Looking forward to returning at 'New Year' with friends - our table is already booked at 'La Fonte' !

Thank you.
