Terms and Conditions
As
a rule, we hate 'small print' ourselves, so we
have resolved to keep our terms and conditions
to an absolute minimum.
However,
before we will accept a booking, we do require
potential guests to signify their acceptance of
the terms and conditions attached to their
invoice.
Our
aim is simply to minimise the risk of
misunderstandings and/or disappointment later.
As
with anything to do with Casa Marginetta, if
something appears to be unclear to you or you
would simply like more information, then please
do not hesitate to contact us!
For
your information, sample terms and conditions
are reproduced below. These will be slightly
amended to reflect individual circumstances,
but are broadly typical.
- Your booking is not confirmed until we are
in receipt of a printed copy of the invoice,
signed to show your acceptance of the terms
and conditions, together with your deposit,
postal address, telephone number and names
of all members of your party with age and sex (if
under 18).
- Your booking is for use of the property
only. Whilst we will use our best endeavours
to provide additional facilities for your
use as described on our web-site,
circumstances may arise from time to time
which cause one or more items to be
unavailable. Regrettably, we cannot consider
any refund requests in such cases.
- Deposits are non-refundable, but your
liability in case of cancellation prior to
the date that the balance is due is limited
to the deposit. If you have made the final payment
early, then it will be refunded in full. If
applicable, you are also entitled to keep
any gift(s) received.
- Should you find it necessary to cancel at
any time on or after the date that the
balance is due but prior to the start of the
holiday then normally the rental fee will be
forfeit, but applicable preparation,
servicing, central heating, air conditioner,
electric blanket and/or welcome pack charges
would be refunded in full. To minimise your
disappointment and loss, in some
circumstances, we may be able to offer you
mutually agreeable alternative holiday dates
instead of cancellation.
- The balance must be received in full no
later than 8 weeks before the date of
travel. Late settlement without good reason
could result in cancellation.
- The property will normally be available
for your use from 16:00 on the day of
arrival. It must be vacated no later than
10:00 on the day following your last booked
night so that it can be prepared for
following guests.
- Servicing staff will prepare the property
before you arrive and following your
departure, but will not normally visit
whilst you are there.
- On departure, we ask you to please leave
the property reasonably clean and tidy in
order to facilitate preparation for
following guests.
- It is our policy not to levy a security deposit.
Whilst any excessive cleaning or breakages found
may be chargeable, we do understand that unforeseen
accidents may occur and urge you to tell us about them
so that we can take appropriate action as soon as possible.
Due to the continuing honesty of our clients, we are
pleased to say that to date we have never found it necessary
to impose additional charges.
- Although a portable electric fan is
provided free of charge at the property, if
you would like the additional use of an air
conditioner unit in the main bedroom then if
you pre-book and pay a charge of £2 per
night together with the balance, it will be
installed in the master bedroom ready for
you when the property is prepared.
- Although Casa Marginetta is fully
centrally heated, you may prefer to enjoy
the extra comfort during the winter months
of electric under-blankets. These are
available for most beds. If you pre-book the
number that you require and pay a charge of
£1 per person per night together with the
balance, they will be installed ready for
you when the property is prepared.
